Frank Hall and Rocelia Walberg Jensen

Rocelia Walberg Jensen was born 8 September 1880. She was the first child of John Henry Jensen and Ane Christine Jensen Kelson Jensen. My first recollection of Aunt Celia was when she lived in a house that stood up in the field from grandfather’s house in Weston, Idaho. It seemed that at that time there was a great excitement because the world was coming to an end. About the same time that Hailey’s comet appears in the western sky.

Aunt Celia left home at an early age to go to Montana to work for a family doing housework. While there she met and married Jack O'Brien in 1902. They had the following three children;

            Bessie O’Brian born 1903, died 1940 near San Francisco

                        Married Walter Long

                                    children Roberta, Zelda, and Dean

                        married and divorced Austin Hansen

children Robert and Bill (lived on a ranch near old fellow Washington in 1968)

John Curtis O'Brien born 1905, worked in Portland Oregon in the shipyards. He was injured in a fall and lay in a coma for nearly 4 years before his death.

                        married Goldie Harpster 1927

                                    son Gene

                        married and divorced Hilda Nelson

                                    children Jean, Mike, Patricia, Aaron

            Vera O'Brien born April 30, 1908

                        married Armel Rose

                                    children Betty Lou, Armel Jr, Evelyn (Baby)

Aunt Celia was of a quiet disposition and slow to anger. Life to Aunt Celia was not always a bed of roses. Although I have never met Jack O'Brien I always felt that he took advantage of Aunt Celia in not providing for her and the family. She must have left him when life became intolerable, to bring her family back to Weston to live.

Aunt Cecilia met Frank Hall in 1930 at King Hill Idaho probably at Aunt Emma Crockett's. They were married in Pocatello Idaho 17 March 1914 they moved to King Hill Idaho where they lived until Frank died 7 December 1937. He was buried in Glenns ferry Idaho cemetery.

Frank Hall was born near Syracuse New York 24 December 1891 where he lived and went to school until he was approximately 17 years old when he left home and started West. He lived with an uncle in Kansas working on a ranch. From there he wandered from state to state working at coal mining, logging and railroad construction. Frank's mother came to visit him in 1928. That was the first time he saw her in 30 years.

Aunt Celia died 23 April 1967 in Butte Montana and was buried in Glenns Ferry Cemetery 27 April 1967. The following five children were born to Aunt Cecilia and Uncle Frank;
